Our Approach

How we work across all matters

Review before advice

We do not offer guidance before we have read the relevant documents. Every matter begins with a structured review of whatever material is available — the charge, the summons, or the circumstances as described.

Written records throughout

Attendance notes, written advice, and correspondence are produced for each matter and held on the client file. You receive copies of documents relevant to your matter. Nothing is communicated only verbally where a written record would serve better.

Agreed before commenced

The scope and fee for each service are confirmed in writing before we begin. No work proceeds without a clear and mutual understanding of what is being undertaken and what it will cost.

Pre-charge investigation counsel

Service 01

Pre-Charge Investigation & Police Interview Counsel

A careful, calm presence during the early stage of a matter — when police have made initial contact but charges have not yet been laid. We attend interviews at the police station with you, advise on the rights available under the Criminal Procedure Code, and help prepare a written statement where helpful. The aim of this stage is often to ensure that what is said early does not become harder to address later.

  • Attendance at police station with you during the interview
  • Rights advice under the Criminal Procedure Code
  • Written statement preparation where appropriate
  • Early-stage strategic assessment of the matter
  • Follow-up written attendance note for your records

Process steps

1

Initial call or contact — you describe the situation and we assess whether we can assist

2

Fee and scope confirmed in writing before attendance

3

Practitioner attends the police station with you at the scheduled time

4

Post-interview written note and initial strategic advice provided

Service 02

Bail Application & Pre-Trial Representation

We prepare and present bail applications before the relevant court, gather supporting documentation on community ties and stability, and coordinate with sureties where required. Where bail is set, we explain the conditions clearly and help with their practical observance — reporting requirements, travel limits, and any pre-trial obligations. Our preparation extends through the early hearing schedule.

  • Bail application preparation and court filing
  • Community ties and stability documentation
  • Surety coordination and guidance
  • Clear explanation of bail conditions imposed
  • Attendance at early pre-trial hearings

Service 03

Statute & Charge Sheet Review

A focused written review of a charge sheet or police summons, setting out what the relevant statute requires the prosecution to establish, the available defenses on the face of the document, and the realistic procedural calendar. Suitable for visitors and family members who wish to understand a charge clearly before making decisions about representation.

  • Written analysis of the charge sheet or summons
  • Explanation of what the prosecution must establish
  • Available defenses identified on the document's face
  • Procedural calendar — what steps follow, and when
  • Delivered in plain English, in writing

Process steps

1

Submit the charge sheet or summons document to our office

2

We review the statute and charge within two working days

3

Written review delivered by email in plain English

4

Optional follow-up call to answer questions arising from the review

Decision Guide

Which service suits your situation

The three services address different stages of a criminal matter. This table helps clarify which is most relevant to your current position.

Your situation Police Interview Counsel Bail Application Charge Sheet Review
Police have contacted me but no charge yet
I have been charged and am in custody
I have received a summons and want to understand it
A family member is in custody; we want clarity
I have been released on bail; pre-trial hearings ahead

If your situation does not fit one of the rows above, contact us — we will advise whether one of our services applies or suggest the appropriate next step.

Standards

Professional protocols across all services

Legal Professional Privilege

All communications are protected under legal professional privilege from the first point of contact. This applies to calls, emails, written documents, and in-person discussions.

Licensed Practice

All practitioners maintain current registration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and observe all requirements of the Legal Profession Act B.E. 2528.

Response Commitments

Enquiries receive a response within one working day in standard circumstances. Pre-charge and bail matters are treated as priority and addressed the same day where possible.

Written Confirmation of Scope

Before any service commences, the scope of work and the agreed fee are confirmed in writing to the client or instructing party. Work does not begin without this confirmation.

English-Language Delivery

All client-facing documents, advice, and correspondence are produced in clear English. No external interpreter is required for the substantive legal work we handle.

Named Responsible Practitioner

Each matter is assigned to a named practitioner who is responsible for its conduct. Clients are told who this is at the outset and can contact them directly throughout.

Fees

Service fees, stated clearly

All fees are fixed for the service as described. They are confirmed in writing before work commences. No additions are made without prior agreement.
